An anonymous donor challenged the community to raise half of the total cost and the Phantom would donate the remaining. The successful $4.2 million dollar campaign renovated the Colonial Theater and the adjacent buildings into a beautiful visual and performing arts center for the region.Renamed for the Phantom donors, Miles and Virginia Willard, who also chaired the campaign, the Willard Arts Center now contains a visual arts building with galleries, classrooms, artist studios, meeting spaces for events, and much more.

For unknown reasons, the manse was abandoned with all its contents including many paintings and full wardrobes of clothes. It subsequently was plundered and made derelict. Located in Steep Road, Crowborough, East Sussex, the house was eventually renovated and renamed Highwell House. It was purchased by Cate Blanchett who is the current owner.

The Posey tube is the second-oldest underwater vehicular tunnel in the US, preceded only by the Holland Tunnel. The Posey tube, completed and opened to traffic on October 27, 1928, was named after George Posey, Alameda County Surveyor during the tunnel's planning. The ventilation buildings that house the exhaust and fresh air fans are built in an art deco style.

It opened with a seating capacity of 2,168. It was designed by architect Timothy L. Pflueger and was the last grand movie palace built in the San Francisco Bay Area. It closed in the 1980s as a triplex theatre and was later used as a gymnastics studio. A restoration and expansion project was completed in 2008, making the historic theater the primary anchor of an eight-screen multi-plex.

Commissioned in November 1943, she played a major part in the Pacific battles of World War II, and also took part in Operation Magic Carpet, returning troops back to the U.S. Following World War II, she served in the Vietnam War, and also played a part in the Apollo Program, recovering the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 astronauts as they returned from the moon. The Hornet was finally decommissioned in 1970. She was eventually designated as both a National Historic Landmark and a California Historical Landmark, and in 1998 she opened to the public as the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda, California.

Until recently it still operated as a storage space for various beverage and consumer product brands. The historic building will soon be reborn as one of the largest mixed-use projects in the East Bay, with 380 housing units and 30,000 square feet of retail.
